National Conference on Contemporary Issues in Management
Introduction
SKN Sinhgad Business School has organized first National Conference ICON -2012 on Contemporary Issues in Management on 2nd & 3rd March, 2012. The intention behind this conference was to make available common platform to the Academicians, Researchers and Students to discuss on recent issues in management. We received total 60 research papers from which 45 quality papers has selected and published in the conference proceedings bearing ISBN No. 978-93-81583-23-4 through Excellent Publishing New Delhi.

Total 35 delegates from different states of India like- Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujrat, Madhypradesh etc. presented research papers in the conference. Total time allotted for presentation was 10 minutes (7+3).Total 90 students of MBA I & II also participated in the conference.

Inaugural ceremony has celebrated in presence of Chief guest, Dr. V.B. Jugale Dean, Economics Department, Shivaji university Kolhapur, president of inaugural session Prof. S.N. Nawale, Secretary Mr. S.S. Navale, Dr. V.S. Manganale, Dr. D.N. Mishra, Dr. A.A. Ghatule, Dr. A.P. Ghatule, Dr. R.R. Yelikar, Dr. U. N. Dhapola, Col. N.S. Dhapola, & Dr. Anita Mane.
We had the imminent personalities with us as a key note speaker and delivered the addresses on important topics.
Dr. Debendranath N. Mishra, Director, SRTMUN, sub-centre-Latur has delivered the first key note address on contemporary issues in management.
Dr. Archana A. Ghatule, Director, SKNSBS, Korti has given the address on Project Based Learning.
Dr. Vinodkumar Jain, Director, Pioneer Institute of Management, Indore (MP) has delivered his speech on Quality education.
Dr. P.N.Mohite, Professor,VIIT, Baramati, has addressed delegates on the topic Recent Trends in HRM.

The conference had total four Technical Sessions each session headed by the session chair and faculty coordinator. Session chairs has been called from various states. In the valedictory session prof. P.N.Mohite, has been called as a chief guest he expressed his views on the conference and its importance in educational institutes. Dr.Arjun A. Ghatule summarized the two days National Conference, Asst. Prof. Mrs. Rajashree N. Badage has proposed the Vote of thanks and the programme summed up.
